This privacy statement informs users on the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and usage of personal data by the responsible provider:
enervis energy advisors GmbH
Schlesische Straße 29-30
Fon: +49 (0)30 695175-0
The legal basis of data protection is to be taken from the German Federal Data Protection Act and the Teleservices Act (TMG).
Access data/server log files
The provider (in our case our web space provider) collects data on every access to the information offered on our website (server log files). The access data includes: name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, data volume transferred, notification about successful access, browser type and version, the users' operating system, referrer URL (the website previously visited), IP address and the requesting provider. The provider uses the protocol data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing and optimizing the offerings. The provider reserves the right to review protocol data later on if there is justified suspicion of unlawful use due to specific indicative information.
Handling of personal data
Personal data is information which identifies a person, and can thus be traced back to this person. This includes names, email addresses or phone numbers. Yet, also data on preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites someone has visited counts as personal data. Personal data will only be collected, used and distributed by the provider if legal provisions allow this or the users approve, e.g. by voluntarily entering data in our contact form or by subscribing to our newsletter.
Upon contact with the provider (via the contact form or email, for example), the users' data is stored for the purpose of processing the request. It is deleted after the end of the communication process.
Comments and contributions
The IP addresses of users are stored when they leave comments on the blog or make any other contributions. This is for the security of the provider in case someone writes something unlawful in their comments or contributions (insults, prohibited political propaganda etc.). Since the provider itself can be made liable for any such comment or contribution, it has an interest in identifying the author.
Our enervis newsletter informs you about us and what we have to offer. If you want to receive the newsletter, you will need to provide a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address or that the owner of the email address approves the receipt of the newsletter. We receive this information when you explicitly confirm via a link that your email address is to be activated for the newsletter service (double opt-in process) before we send the newsletter to you. No other data will be collected. This data will be used only to mail the newsletter to you and will not be passed on to third parties. Upon the subscription to the enervis newsletter, we will save your IP address and the date of registration. Storing this information serves solely as proof in case a third party misuses an email address and registers to receive the newsletter without the knowledge of the entitled party. Your consent to store the data, the email address and to use it to distribute the newsletter can be revoked at any time. This can be done via a link in the newsletter or by notifying the contacts above. This does not incur any costs except for the basic fees of telecommunications.
Integrating the services and content of third parties
The content of third parties is integrated into our website, e.g. maps from Google maps. This presupposes that the providers of such content (hereafter "third party providers") are able to see the IP address of users. Without the IP address, they are not able send the content to the users' browsers. Therefore, the IP address is necessary to display such content. We attempt to only publish content from providers who use the IP address merely to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on third party providers storing the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. We will inform the users about this if it becomes known to us.
"Addthis" bookmarking service
The data entered during registration is collected for the purpose of using the services offered on our website. Users can be informed via email about information regarding offers and registration, such as changes to the scope of the services we offer on our website, or to technical circumstances. The data collected can be seen on the input screen during the registration process.
Revocation, changes, corrections and updates
Upon request via the contact address above, users are entitled to be informed about their personal data which has been stored. This service is free of charge. Additionally, users are entitled to have incorrect data corrected and to have their personal data blocked or deleted unless a statutory storage requirement stipulates otherwise.
